DELL Pro Micro AI Mini Desktop

The DELL Pro Micro AI is a compact business mini PC powered by an AMD Ryzen 5 8500GE processor with six cores and twelve threads. It includes 16GB of DDR5 memory and a 4TB PCIe NVMe SSD. Integrated AMD Radeon 740M graphics drive displays via HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed and a 90W power supply is included.

Who this suits and who it does not

This system fits offices that need a small footprint, quiet operation and enough multi-thread performance for productivity suites, video calls and light AI-assisted workloads. Buyers who require discrete graphics performance, additional internal drive bays or more than two USB 2.0 ports should consider a larger chassis.

Deciding specification: 4TB PCIe NVMe SSD

The single specification that decides fit is the 4TB PCIe NVMe SSD. It determines whether the available storage capacity meets the dataset and application footprint without needing external drives.

Questions about this item

Does the mini PC need an external monitor, keyboard and mouse to operate?

The unit ships without a monitor but includes a wireless keyboard and mouse; connect a display via the HDMI 2.1 or DisplayPort output to get started.

Can I keep using my older USB 2.0 peripherals with the two USB 2.0 ports on this system?

Yes, the two USB 2.0 ports are backward compatible, so legacy mice, keyboards or printers will work without adapters.

How can I verify the Ryzen 5 8500GE is running at its 3.40 GHz base speed after setup?

Open Task Manager in Windows 11 Pro, select the Performance tab and confirm the processor shows 6 cores, 12 threads and a base frequency of 3.40 GHz.
