Business micro desktop

The Dell Pro Micro is a compact business desktop built around an Intel Core i7-12700K processor with 12 cores and a 25 MB cache. It ships with 16 GB of DDR5 memory at 4800 MHz and a 256 GB NVMe PCIe SSD. Windows 11 Professional is pre-installed.

65 W power envelope

The system operates from a 65 W power supply that limits sustained turbo performance and expansion headroom. Builders needing higher continuous CPU clocks or discrete graphics must choose a larger chassis with a bigger PSU.

Dual M.2 storage upgrade

Two M.2 slots accept 2280 or 2230 NVMe drives for additional capacity without external cables. Front USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C at 10 Gbps and rear DisplayPort 1.4a plus HDMI 2.1 support two monitors and fast peripherals.

Questions about this item

How does the i7-12700K's 5.00 GHz turbo speed behave inside this Micro chassis?

The 12-core processor reaches 5.00 GHz on its performance cores when thermal headroom allows; the 65 W power supply and compact air cooler mean sustained all-core loads will run closer to the 3.60 GHz base clock.

What does the HDMI 2.1 port actually support on the integrated UHD 770 graphics?

It drives one 4K display at 60 Hz or two monitors via DisplayPort 1.4a and HDMI 2.1 combined; gaming or HDR at higher refresh rates is limited by the integrated GPU.

Will a standard 2280 NVMe stick fit in the second M.2 slot?

Yes — both M.2 slots accept 2280 and 2230 NVMe modules, so a full-length 2280 drive can be added alongside the factory 256 GB boot drive.
