Compact business desktop

The Dell Pro Micro QCM1250 is a small-form-factor PC built around a 14th Gen Intel Core i5-14500T processor with 14 cores and 20 threads. It ships with 64GB of DDR5 memory and a 4TB NVMe solid-state drive. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed, targeting office environments that need strong multi-threaded performance in minimal space.

Integration and expandability

The 90W internal power supply runs the complete system without an external brick. Video output uses one HDMI 2.1 port and one DisplayPort connector for dual-monitor setups. Wired networking is provided by a single RJ-45 jack; no wireless or Bluetooth hardware is present. Four USB ports include two 2.0, two 3.2 Type-C, plus a headset jack. The included Dockztorm USB hub adds extra ports at up to 5Gbps.

Upgrade perspective

This configuration replaces older small-form-factor desktops limited to lower core counts, smaller memory ceilings or hard-drive storage. The jump is worthwhile when workloads demand 24MB of L3 cache, 64GB of DDR5 capacity and 4TB of NVMe speed in a 1.5-inch chassis. Buyers who need discrete graphics, internal drive bays, wireless connectivity or a higher-wattage power supply should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How does the 90 W power supply limit sustained performance of the i5-14500T?

The 90 W PSU caps total system draw so the 14-core CPU cannot hold its 4.8 GHz turbo for long periods; expect clocks to settle lower once the power budget is reached.

What noise and heat should I expect when the Pro Micro runs all day under load?

With a 90 W supply in a 1.5-inch tall chassis the small fan must spin faster to move heat, producing noticeable airflow noise and warm exhaust after extended use.

Which display cables do I need to connect monitors to the HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort outputs?

You must supply an HDMI 2.1 cable for the HDMI port and a DisplayPort cable for the DP port; neither is included in the box.
