Power Delivery

Build Integration

The adapter connects directly to devices using the 6.0 by 3.7 millimetre barrel with a centre pin, while the included tip converts it for 4.5 by 3.0 millimetre ports. A 3.94-foot mains lead, 0.5-foot brick and 5.68-foot DC cable give 10.12 feet of total reach. Output steps down automatically to 120, 90, 65 or 45 watts for lower-rated systems.

Target User

Suits owners of listed ASUS TUF, ROG Strix, Zephyrus, ZenBook Pro and VivoBook Pro models that require a 150-watt replacement or spare. Buyers whose laptops use a different connector size, a USB-C power input, or a higher wattage brick should look elsewhere. The package weighs 0.572 kilograms and measures 14.33 by 12.83 by 9.06 inches.

Questions about this item

Does the brick reach its 150 W ceiling before the cable or connector limits current?

The adapter is rated for 150 W maximum output at 20 V 7.5 A and is backward compatible with 120 W, 90 W, 65 W and 45 W ASUS models, so the brick itself sets the ceiling.

How hot or noisy does the adapter get when it runs at full load all day?

The unit is a sealed power brick with no fan; it relies on passive convection cooling and silent operation during continuous use.

Which laptop-side tip do I need on my machine for this charger to plug in?

It ships with a 6.0 mm × 3.7 mm main connector and a 6.0 mm × 3.7 mm to 4.5 mm × 3.0 mm conversion cord, covering both large-pin and small-pin ASUS models.
