Questions about this item

Should I choose the 20V 15A 300W version or the 20V 11.8A 85W version?

Select the 20V 15A 300W unit for Lenovo Legion gaming laptops such as the 7, 7i, 5i, 5 Pro, R7000P, R9000P, R9000K, Y9000K and Y9000X; the 20V 11.8A 85W rating applies to a different power level.

What does the 300W rating mean once the adapter is connected to my laptop?

It delivers up to 300 watts at 20 volts and 15 amps through the yellow square tip, matching the peak draw of high-performance Legion models equipped with RTX 3050, 3060, 3070 or 4070 graphics.

Does the yellow square tip use a proprietary Lenovo standard or a common barrel interface?

The yellow square tip is the proprietary Lenovo connector used on Legion and ThinkPad models including the P73, P72, P71, P70, P53, P52, P51 and P50; it is not a standard round barrel plug.
