130W Dell AC Adapter with 7.4mm Tip

This 130W AC adapter supplies 20V at 11.8A for a wide range of Dell laptops. It replaces original chargers for Inspiron, Precision, Studio XPS and G-series models. The unit is new and built for daily office or travel use.

7.4mm x 5.0mm Connector Fit

The barrel tip measures 7.4mm outer diameter by 5.0mm inner diameter, which is the single specification that decides compatibility. Buyers whose laptops require a different tip size cannot use this adapter. The output also delivers 19.5V at 6.7A for systems rated at 90W or 65W.

Plug-In Replacement with Protection

Installation is a direct swap: disconnect the old brick, connect the round tip and plug the cord into mains power. Built-in short-circuit, overheat and overcharge protection reduces the risk of damage if the laptop port is worn or the cable is strained. Users who need a higher wattage rating or a USB-C connection will need a different power supply.

Questions about this item

What does the 130 W rating mean when the adapter is connected to a laptop that only needs 90 W or 65 W?

The adapter will supply only the power the laptop requests, so a 90 W or 65 W system draws its normal amount while the headroom keeps the brick running cooler.

The barrel connector is listed as 7.4 mm — what does that dimension control?

The 7.4 mm outer diameter with a 5.0 mm inner pin matches the Dell jack size; if your laptop uses a different barrel size the tip will not seat correctly.

How much space does the brick itself need on a desk or in a bag?

The unit measures 14.33 in wide, 12.83 in high and 9.06 in deep, so allow roughly that footprint plus cable clearance when packing or positioning it.
