Genuine Dell Studio LCD Back Cover

This genuine Dell original lid assembly fits the Studio 1555, 1557 and 1558 models with a 15.6 inch display. It arrives in the Blue Horizon finish and carries Dell part number T573R. The unit is intended for owners repairing a cracked or worn lid on these specific notebooks.

Sustained-use durability

The cover is built from the same plastics and metal hinge brackets Dell specified for daily opening and closing cycles. Hinge tension remains consistent over time, preventing the lid from drifting or slamming shut during regular use. Wireless antenna cables and the power button assembly are integrated, so signal reception and power sequencing stay reliable throughout the repair life.

Straightforward replacement

Installation follows the standard Dell Studio teardown: remove the bezel, disconnect the antenna leads and power-button cable, then swap the old lid for this assembly. The pre-fitted hinges and routed cables eliminate the need to transfer small parts from the damaged cover. The only common issue is forgetting to reconnect both antenna wires, which leaves Wi-Fi performance degraded until reseated.

Questions about this item

Does the Blue Horizon LCD back cover add noticeable weight or heat to the Studio 1555?

The cover is a passive shell with hinges and cables, so it adds no heat and only the normal mass of a 15.6" lid assembly.

Must I already own a Dell Studio 1555, 1557 or 1558 chassis for this T573R cover to fit?

Yes, the part is built for those three models only and will not mount on other Dell or non-Dell chassis.

Will the original wireless antenna cables and power button from my Studio 1558 plug straight into this replacement lid?

The assembly includes matching antenna cables and a power-button cable designed for the Studio 1555, 1557 and 1558, so existing routing points line up.
