Dell Studio 15.6" LCD Back Cover N845N

This genuine Dell original lid assembly fits Studio 1555 1557 and 1558 models. It includes left and right hinges six wireless antenna cables and the power button with cable. The Seaweed colour design matches the original chassis finish. It replaces Dell part number N845N directly.

Sustained daily use and hinge durability

The integrated hinges are built to withstand repeated opening and closing cycles typical of laptop usage. All six wireless antenna cables route internally to maintain signal integrity over the product life. The power button cable remains secured within the assembly preventing intermittent contact.

Installation notes and common issues

Installation requires removing the display panel bezel and disconnecting the antenna cables and power button connector from the old lid. Cable routing through the hinge channels can be tight so take care not to pinch the antenna leads. Verify the Seaweed colour matches your base unit before fitting as mismatched parts are a frequent return reason.

Questions about this item

How hot does the N845N lid get during all-day use?

The back cover is a passive plastic shell with no electronics, so it does not generate heat on its own.

Which hinges and cables must already be present on my Studio 1555 for this N845N cover to fit?

The assembly includes left and right hinges plus six wireless antenna cables, so you only need the existing LCD panel and bezel.

Will the N845N Seaweed lid align with the original chassis screws on a Studio 1558?

Yes, it is a genuine Dell OEM part built to the same mounting points used on the 1555, 1557 and 1558 models.
