Dell T7820 Dual Xeon Workstation

The Dell T7820 is a tower workstation built for professional design, rendering, engineering and data-heavy applications. It runs on two Intel Xeon Gold 6136 processors at 3.00GHz with 12 cores each. 64GB of DDR4 memory supports smooth multitasking across large project files. Windows 11 Pro comes pre-installed for immediate setup.

Suits CAD, rendering and simulation users

This system suits professionals who need dual-socket Xeon performance and ECC memory reliability for certified CAD, rendering or simulation workloads. Buyers who need GPU compute acceleration beyond a Quadro K2200 should look elsewhere. It is not for users whose applications only scale on single-thread speed or consumer-grade graphics.

Expandable memory to 768GB DDR4

The platform supports up to 768GB of DDR4 memory across its DIMM slots. This ceiling decides whether the workstation can grow with future dataset sizes or virtual machine demands. The four 3.5-inch drive bays provide additional internal storage expansion.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 512GB SSD plus 3TB HDD combination or look for a larger single drive?

The 512GB SSD holds the operating system and active projects for fast boot and load times, while the 3TB HDD adds bulk capacity for archives and large media files.

What does the dual Xeon Gold 6136 at 3.00GHz with 12 cores each deliver in daily work?

Twenty-four total cores at 3.00GHz provide strong multi-threaded throughput for rendering, simulation and heavy multitasking in professional applications.

How does the DDR4 memory standard limit the maximum RAM I can install?

The platform supports DDR4 up to 768GB across its slots, so the installed 64GB can be expanded significantly within that ceiling.
