Dual Xeon workstation for professional workloads

The Dell T7820 tower combines two Intel Xeon Gold 6126 processors running at 2.60GHz with 128GB of DDR4 memory. This configuration targets engineers, designers and data analysts who need consistent multi-threaded performance for CAD, rendering and simulation tasks. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed for immediate deployment.

Tower chassis with four 3.5" drive bays

The workstation body provides four internal 3.5-inch expansion bays for additional storage arrays. Front-panel LEDs indicate power, Ethernet and USB activity at a glance. An NVIDIA M4000 graphics card drives professional visual applications and multi-display setups without occupying a separate add-in slot.

DDR4 platform capped at 768GB with dual-socket limit

Memory uses the DDR4 standard and the board supports a maximum of 768GB across both processors. Only two Xeon Scalable CPUs can be installed, so the current dual-socket layout already reaches the processor ceiling. Buyers who need more than 768GB of RAM or more than two physical CPUs must choose a different platform.

Questions about this item

Does the dual Xeon Gold 6126 setup use DDR4 memory channels, and what is the maximum capacity supported?

Yes, the system runs DDR4 memory and supports up to 768GB across its slots, with 128GB installed from the factory.

How many 3.5-inch drive bays are available inside the tower for additional storage?

The chassis provides four 3.5-inch expansion bays, so you can add multiple hard drives or SSDs without needing external enclosures.

What is the correct order for installing the second Xeon Gold 6126 processor and its matching memory modules?

Install the second CPU first, then populate its dedicated DDR4 slots before adding memory to the first processor; skipping this sequence prevents the system from posting.
