DELL T7820 Workstation 2x Xeon Gold 6136 3.00GHz 64GB DDR4 512GB SSD 3TB HDD Quadro M2000

Dual Xeon Gold 6136 workstation

The Dell T7820 pairs two 12‑core Xeon Gold 6136 processors at 3.00GHz with 64GB of DDR4 memory. It targets engineers, designers and data analysts who need reliable multi‑threaded throughput for CAD, rendering and simulation workloads. A 512GB SSD and a 3TB hard drive provide fast boot and ample project storage. The NVIDIA Quadro M2000 with 4GB GDDR5 drives professional visual applications and multi‑display setups.

Sustained multi‑core load behaviour

Dual sockets keep clock speeds steady during long renders or large dataset processing because the thermal design spreads heat across both CPUs. The 64GB DDR4 pool reduces paging when projects exceed a single processor’s local memory. Quadro drivers are certified for ISV stability, so viewport performance remains consistent over hours rather than minutes. Windows 11 Pro manages background tasks without interrupting foreground compute threads.

Installation notes and common issues

The chassis offers four 3.5‑inch drive bays for future storage expansion and supports up to 768GB of DDR4 across its DIMM slots. Rack‑mount rails are not included, so confirm mounting hardware before deploying in a cabinet. The 55‑unit weight requires two people or a lift for safe positioning. Quadro M2000 power connectors are internal; verify the PSU cables match before closing the case.
