Genuine Dell OEM motherboard with on-board 1.8GHz Intel Core i7-8550U CPU and discrete Nvidia graphics for Inspiron 7472 and 7572 laptops
This motherboard is a genuine Dell OEM system board designed as a direct replacement for the Inspiron 7472 and 7572 laptops. It integrates an Intel Core i7-8550U processor running at 1.8GHz and includes discrete Nvidia graphics support. The part carries the Dell part number TYGH6 and is intended for units originally configured with dedicated graphics. Buyers needing a board for integrated-graphics models should look elsewhere.
As a laptop system board, thermal performance and acoustic output are determined by the host chassis cooling solution rather than the board itself. The on-board i7-8550U quad-core processor has a base frequency of 1.8GHz and will draw power within its standard mobile envelope. Fan behaviour and heat dissipation depend entirely on the original Inspiron 14 or 15 heatsink and fan assembly installed in the laptop.
The unit is supplied as the bare system board with the CPU and graphics chip soldered in place. No separate heatsink, fan, cables, screws or software media are included in the package. Installers must transfer the original cooling assembly and any peripheral connectors from the failed board to complete the repair.

Remove the battery, disconnect all ribbon cables and the discrete Nvidia GPU heatsink, then swap the board; the step most often missed is reapplying thermal paste to the GPU die before refitting the heatsink.
The CPU is soldered to the board, so it cannot be replaced separately; only the cooling fan and thermal paste need periodic service.
The 1.8 GHz quad-core i7-8550U hits its thermal throttle point before the discrete Nvidia graphics becomes the bottleneck.
