  • Designed for OptiPlex 320 desktop systems

Dell UU971 16X SATA DVD-RW Drive

The Dell UU971 is a new 16X SATA internal dual-layer DVD-RW drive designed for the OptiPlex 320 desktop. It installs in a standard 5.25-inch bay and handles reading and writing of CD and DVD media for software installation, data backup or disc creation.

Not for SATA-less or non-320 systems

This drive suits owners of an OptiPlex 320 needing an optical drive replacement. Builders whose chassis lacks a 5.25-inch bay, whose motherboard lacks a free SATA port, or who require Blu-ray read or write capability should look at something else.

The drive uses a SATA interface, which caps the maximum data transfer rate to the SATA bus speed rather than the drive's 16X rating.
