Dell Latitude 5520 15.6" business laptop

The Dell Latitude 5520 is a 15.6 inch business laptop built for professionals who need a reliable daily driver. It runs Windows 10 Pro on an Intel Core i7-1185G7 quad-core processor with 16 GB of memory and a 256 GB SSD. The non-touch Full HD display offers a 1920 x 1080 resolution for clear text and spreadsheets. Integrated graphics handle standard office workloads and video playback.

Suits mobile workers needing a managed fleet device

This notebook suits mobile workers and IT-managed fleets that value Dell’s commercial security and manageability features. The single occupied memory slot leaves one free for a future upgrade up to 64 GB total. Buyers who need a dedicated GPU for creative rendering, CAD or gaming should look elsewhere. Users requiring a touchscreen or tablet mode will not find it here.

15.6 inch 1920 x 1080 non-touch display

The 15.6 inch panel delivers a 1920 x 1080 Full HD image without touch input. This resolution provides ample workspace for side-by-side documents while keeping text sharp. Integrated graphics drive the screen and the single HDMI port for an external monitor. If your workflow demands touch interaction or a higher pixel density, this display will not match those needs.

Questions about this item

Does the 15.6 inch chassis accept a 2.5 inch drive bracket or caddy for extra storage?

The 256 GB SSD occupies the primary slot; the spec sheet lists only one memory expansion slot and does not confirm a 2.5 inch bay or caddy.

Which screw must be removed first to reach the single free SODIMM slot for a memory upgrade?

Remove the base cover screws, lift the cover, then release the SODIMM latch — skipping the latch releases the module at an angle and can damage the slot.

When will the soldered 16 GB module and the 256 GB SSD need replacement?

The 16 GB module is soldered and not replaceable; the 256 GB SSD can be swapped later, and the second SODIMM slot supports up to 64 GB total memory.
