4K HDR webcam with Sony Starvis sensor

The Dell Wb7022 is a 4K HDR webcam built around a Sony Starvis CMOS sensor that captures more light for vivid video clarity. An anodised aluminium body in black houses an IR sensor for Windows Hello facial recognition and a proximity sensor for automatic wake and lock. A magnetic privacy cover slides across the lens when the camera is not in use.

Professionals needing secure, high-fidelity video

This webcam suits remote workers, streamers and IT-managed fleets who want HDR colour accuracy and hardware-based Windows Hello sign-in without extra software. Users who only need basic 1080p calls, or who require a wider field-of-view than the fixed lens provides, should consider simpler or more adjustable alternatives.

USB connection and Windows Hello IR sensor

The single specification that decides fit is the combination of a USB interface and an integrated IR sensor for Windows Hello authentication. If the target PC lacks a free USB port or runs an operating system without Windows Hello support, the camera will still deliver 4K HDR video but the biometric sign-in feature will be unavailable.
