Dell WU142 275W PSU for OptiPlex SFF

This Dell WU142 power supply delivers 275 watts for OptiPlex 740 745 755 small form factor desktops. It is built for owners of those specific models who need a direct replacement unit. The part matches the original form factor and connector layout used in those systems.

Installation fits the SFF chassis exactly

The unit slides into the OptiPlex SFF bay and locks with the original latch mechanism. No adapter cables or bracket modifications are required because the connector pinout matches the motherboard. Builders using a different chassis or a motherboard with a non-standard power pinout will find this unit incompatible.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the 275 W PSU is running correctly after fitting it in my OptiPlex 740?

Power on the system and verify it posts to BIOS with no beep codes or amber LEDs; the fan should spin and voltages must read within ATX limits.

What comes with the WU142 unit and what must I source separately?

Only the 275 W power supply itself is included; you will need the IEC mains cable and any SFF mounting screws not already in the chassis.
