Dell XPS 9520 overview

The Dell XPS 9520 is a 15.6 inch touchscreen laptop built around a 14 core Intel Core i7 12700H processor that reaches 4.7 GHz turbo. It ships with Windows 11 Pro and targets professionals who need a high resolution OLED display in a premium chassis.

Build and connectivity

The black aluminium body houses a 3.5k OLED panel at 3456 x 2160 with touch input and an integrated webcam. Wireless 802.11ac and Bluetooth handle network links while the dedicated RTX 3050 Ti with 4 GB GDDR6 drives external displays through the available ports.

Practical limits

The 960 GB SSD and 4 GB of system memory restrict multitasking and large project workloads. Buyers who need more memory or storage capacity should verify upgrade options before purchase. The 14 core CPU delivers strong burst performance but sustained loads are constrained by the laptop thermal design.
