Dell XPS 9720 17-inch workstation

The Dell XPS 9720 is a 17-inch mobile workstation built for professionals who need a large, colour-accurate screen and strong multi-core performance in a single chassis. It ships with Windows 10 Pro, 64 GB of memory and a 1 TB solid-state drive, so it is ready for heavy multitasking and large project files immediately.

14-core i7-12700H with 4.7 GHz turbo

The processor delivers 14 cores and a maximum turbo frequency of 4.7 GHz, which is the specification that determines whether this laptop can handle sustained compile, render or simulation workloads. Buyers who need more than 14 cores or a higher turbo ceiling should look elsewhere.

No user-serviceable memory or storage upgrades

The 64 GB of RAM and 960 GB SSD are soldered or otherwise non-removable, so the configuration you buy is the configuration you keep. Attempting to open the chassis for upgrades often damages the precision-cut aluminium frame and voids the manufacturer support agreement.
