Genuine Dell XPS M1330 Lid Assembly

This is a genuine Dell OEM replacement lid assembly for the XPS M1330 laptop. It includes the white back plastic cover, left and right hinges, camera cable and wireless antenna cables. The part carries Dell number GX173 and is supplied new in original packaging. It restores the structural integrity and wireless connectivity of the display panel.

For owners repairing CCFL-backlit XPS M1330 units

This lid fits only XPS M1330 models equipped with CCFL backlighting. It will not work on LED-backlit variants of the same chassis. Buyers who need a lid for an LED display should look elsewhere. Technicians unsure of the backlight type should verify the service tag or service manual before ordering.

Direct replacement for damaged CCFL display housings

The assembly provides a complete white housing with hinges and cables ready for a CCFL panel swap. It handles the mechanical mounting and antenna routing for a single display repair. It runs out when the laptop uses LED backlighting or a different chassis entirely.

Questions about this item

Must the Dell XPS M1330 already have a CCFL backlit display for this GX173 lid to fit?

Yes, this white back cover lid with hinges is for M1330 systems with CCFL backlit displays only and will not fit models that use LED backlighting.

Will the existing camera cable and wireless antenna cables from an older M1330 connect to this replacement lid?

The lid includes a camera cable and wireless antenna cables, so the original cables can be replaced during installation.

After fitting the lid, how can I confirm the display backlight and webcam are working correctly?

Power on the laptop and verify the screen lights evenly without flicker, then open a camera app to check that the webcam produces a clear image.
