Replacement system board for Dell PowerEdge 2900 servers
This Dell YM158 system board is a direct replacement part for the PowerEdge 2900 server. It restores the platform to working order when the original board has failed. The component is supplied new and matches the manufacturer specification for that server model.
This board fits only the PowerEdge 2900 chassis and architecture. It does not support newer server platforms or different form factors. Buyers upgrading to a current generation or needing a different socket type should look elsewhere.

Remove the chassis cover, disconnect all cables, unscrew the old board, align the YM158 with the standoffs, secure screws evenly, reconnect every cable, then update the system BIOS before booting the OS.
Replace the onboard CMOS battery when the server loses time or BIOS settings, and reapply thermal paste on the CPU sockets if temperatures rise after several years of continuous operation.
