Dual-band PCIe adapter delivers AC1200 Wi-Fi 5 speeds and Bluetooth 5.1 for desktop PCs
The DERAPID PCE-AC1200R adds Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1 to a desktop PC through any PCI Express x1 slot. It targets builders who need wireless connectivity and peripheral support without using a USB port. The card includes both standard and low-profile brackets for different case sizes. It requires a free USB header on the motherboard for Bluetooth function.
The adapter uses a Realtek RTL8822CE chipset with 2x2 MIMO to maintain up to 867 Mbps on the 5 GHz band and 300 Mbps on 2.4 GHz during extended transfers. Beamforming focuses the signal toward the router to reduce drops when multiple devices are active. WPA3 encryption secures the link without adding noticeable latency. Performance scales with router capability and local interference.
Wi-Fi 5 caps theoretical throughput at AC1200 class speeds, so gigabit-class internet plans will not be fully utilised on wireless. The 5 GHz band offers higher speed but shorter range than 2.4 GHz, with indoor reach up to 100 metres and outdoor up to 300 metres under ideal conditions. Bluetooth 5.1 shares the same antenna system, so heavy simultaneous traffic on both radios can contend for airtime. Windows 7, 10 and 11 are supported; other operating systems are not covered.

The card is passively cooled with no fan, so it runs silently. The external antennas handle heat dissipation during extended 5 GHz sessions.
You must connect the adapter to an internal USB 2.0 header on your motherboard; without that link Bluetooth 5.1 remains inactive.
It negotiates the highest common rate, so on legacy networks you will see lower throughput while retaining WPA3 security.
