Desktop Wi-Fi 7 upgrade

The DERAPID PCE-BE6500 adds tri-band Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 to a desktop PC through a standard PCI Express slot. It targets Windows 10 and 11 users who want faster wireless speeds and lower latency for gaming or 4K streaming without replacing their motherboard.

BE6500 tri-band throughput

The adapter reaches a combined 6500 Mbps across 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz bands using the MT7925 chipset and 802.11be with OFDMA and MLO. Buyers whose router lacks a 6 GHz radio will not see the full tri-band benefit.

External antenna and integrated Bluetooth

Two external antennas ship in the box for adjustable positioning and stronger signal stability. The onboard Bluetooth 5.4 radio replaces a separate dongle and pairs up to seven peripherals such as headsets, keyboards and mice.

Questions about this item

What real-world throughput can I expect from the BE6500 rating once the card is installed in my desktop?

The BE6500 rating splits across three bands: 2.4 GHz reaches 688 Mbps, while both 5 GHz and 6 GHz peak at 2882 Mbps each, giving a combined ceiling of 6.5 Gbps under ideal conditions.

Which PCI Express slot sizes does the adapter accept and what bandwidth does the interface provide?

The card fits x1, x4, x8 and x16 slots and uses a standard PCI Express link; actual throughput will follow the slot generation on your motherboard.

How much clearance do the external antennas need behind the case?

Two external antennas ship with the card and extend from the bracket; allow a few centimetres behind the rear panel so they can pivot freely for best signal.
