Solid Hardwood Desktop

The Desky Zero desk features a genuine hardwood top finished in Teak with a high-gloss polyurethane coating. Measuring 60 by 30 inches and 1 inch thick, the solid wood surface brings natural grain warmth and durability to a home office or creative studio. It is built for commercial and residential use.

Fixed Steel Frame

A Space Gray steel frame holds the desktop at a fixed height of 27.5 inches, with the frame itself standing 26.6 inches tall and weighing 79.4 lbs. The rigid construction supports up to 308.6 lbs, accommodating multiple monitors, laptops and heavy studio equipment without flex. Assembly requires no tools.

Integrated Cable Channel

An integrated cable channel runs along the desktop to keep cords organised and the workspace tidy. The desk fits desktop lengths from 43.3 to 94.5 inches, and the surface is designed to match Desky accessories such as monitor arms, mounts and drawers. Sustainably sourced wood underscores the eco-conscious build.

Questions about this item

How is the 1" thick hardwood desktop attached to the Space Gray steel frame without tools?

The desk uses a tool-free assembly system where the pre-drilled desktop aligns with the fixed 27.5" height frame and secures by hand-tightening the integrated fasteners. The step people miss is fully seating each connector before applying weight to avoid a wobble.

What upkeep does the polyurethane-finished teak top need over time?

Wipe the high-gloss surface with a damp cloth and avoid harsh chemicals. The protective polyurethane finish does not require re-oiling or waxing, but using coasters prevents ring marks that can dull the sheen on the solid hardwood.

At what load does the 308.6 lbs capacity limit affect stability on the 60 x 30 in surface?

The fixed-height steel frame is rated for 308.6 lbs evenly distributed. Concentrating heavy equipment near the centre of the 60-inch span can cause noticeable flex before the total weight limit is reached, so spread monitors and gear across the depth.
