Ergonomic Scalloped Edge Desk

The Desky Zero desk features a scalloped front cut-out that lets the user sit closer to the work surface for improved posture during long sessions. A melamine laminate top provides a smooth, durable area for monitors, laptops and accessories. The fixed-height steel frame is built for commercial-grade stability and the desk is finished in a Sublime Teak grey colourway. It suits home offices, study rooms and professional workspaces alike.

Fixed Height and Cable Management Limits

The frame sits at 27.5 inches without the desktop and includes adjustable studs with a tolerance of +/- 1 for minor floor levelling. No height adjustment mechanism is present so the working height cannot be changed after assembly. Cable routing relies on an integrated channel and the supplied grommets rather than a full tray or under-desk raceway. Buyers who need sit-stand flexibility or extensive concealed cable runs will not find those features here.

Assembly Practicalities and Common Issues

The desk ships in one selling unit weighing 79.4 lbs and requires self-assembly of the steel frame to the pre-drilled melamine top. Alignment of the frame brackets to the desktop holes is the step most likely to cause frustration if bolts are fully tightened before all fasteners are started. The laminate surface resists daily wear but can chip on sharp impacts so care is needed when moving heavy equipment across the edge.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 47.2, 59.1 or 70.9 inch width for my room?

The 59.1 inch model gives a broad 29.5 inch deep surface that fits two monitors and a keyboard comfortably, while the 47.2 inch suits smaller corners and the 70.9 inch adds extra spread for triple-screen setups.

How does the 1 inch thick melamine top feel when I lean on it for typing?

The 1 inch MDF core with decorative laminate resists flex under normal typing pressure and the scalloped front cut-out lets you sit closer without forearm strain.

What does the 27.5 inch frame height mean for my sitting posture?

The steel frame stands 27.5 inches tall without the desktop, and the adjustable levelling studs add roughly 1 inch so the finished worksurface reaches a standard seated height for most users.
