Dexter-Russell 07010 Knife Sharpener

The Dexter-Russell 07010 is a ceramic knife sharpener designed for commercial breakrooms and professional kitchens. It provides a practical tool for maintaining sharp edges on kitchen knives during daily food preparation.

Swivel design and ceramic rods

A built-in swivel mechanism allows the sharpening rods to rotate, letting the user match the blade angle without repositioning the handle. The ceramic sharpening material removes metal gently and resists wear in high-volume settings.

Black handle and 8 in blade length

The black handle gives a secure grip while the 8 in sharpening surface accommodates most chef and utility knives. No additional accessories or mounting hardware are included with the unit.

Questions about this item

What sharpening material does the ceramic sharpener use, and what edge does it produce?

The sharpener uses a ceramic rod that hones a fine, polished edge on straight blades without removing much metal.

What clearance does the 12 1/2 in overall length require on a countertop?

The unit measures 12 1/2 inches end to end, so allow at least that much clear space plus room for the swivel motion.

How is the sharpener set up for use, and what step is often missed?

Place it on a stable surface, hold the handle firmly, and draw the blade through the ceramic slot; the step often missed is keeping the blade angle consistent on every stroke.
