1/50 Scale CAT 315 Excavator Model

This 1/50 scale diecast replica of the CAT Caterpillar 315 Track Type Hydraulic Excavator features a special black finish and includes an operator figure. It belongs to the High Line Series and arrives in a collectible metal box with a foam insert. The model is constructed from diecast metal with small plastic parts and authentic Cat Machine Yellow paint accents.

For Collectors and Display Enthusiasts

This model suits adult collectors who value true-to-scale detail, movable boom, stick and bucket, and a detailed cab interior with a removable roof. Builders seeking a toy for rough play or young children should look elsewhere, as the intricate parts and collectible packaging are designed for careful handling and display rather than active use.

Verify Display Space and Handling Care

Before ordering, confirm you have shelf space for a model approximately 5.875 inches long, 2.375 inches wide and 2 inches high. Ensure the display area is stable and free from vibration, as the realistic metal tracks, opening engine compartment and adjustable stabilisers are delicate features intended for static exhibition.

Questions about this item

Does the 1/50 scale CAT 315 excavator need any tools or batteries to operate the movable boom stick and bucket?

No tools or batteries are required; the boom, stick and bucket move freely by hand on the diecast model.

Will the metal tracks on this 1/50 excavator scratch a glass display shelf if I keep it beside older plastic models?

The tracks are realistic metal but lightweight; they should not scratch glass, though a soft pad adds extra protection for delicate surfaces.

How can I verify the roof lifts off and the engine compartment opens correctly after unboxing the 1/50 CAT 315?

Gently lift the cab roof — it should detach cleanly — then swing the rear engine door open to reveal the detailed engine inside.
