DieCast Masters CAT AD45 Underground Truck

This 1/50 scale diecast model replicates the Caterpillar AD45 articulated underground truck in authentic Machine Yellow. It is built for adult collectors and hobby enthusiasts who value officially licensed construction vehicle replicas. The High Line series packaging includes a collectible metal box with die-cut foam insert and protective cardboard outer sleeve.

Capacity and detail headroom

The model features a tipping dump box, opening hood with engine detail, and a removable roof for cabin access. Metal railings, real rubber tires with authentic tread design, and a working rear suspension add functional depth. Articulated hitch movement and detailed interior and exterior surfaces provide display flexibility, though the fixed 1/50 scale limits compatibility with larger diorama sets.

Thermals noise and power draw

As a static diecast collectible with no electronic components, the model produces no heat, noise, or power consumption during display or handling. Diecast metal construction with some plastic parts ensures durability without operational requirements. The protective packaging preserves condition for long-term shelf storage or occasional repositioning.

Questions about this item

Will the 1/50 scale AD45 fit on the same shelf as my older 1/50 diecast trucks?

Yes, the model is built to 1/50 scale with approximate dimensions of L-9, W-2.5, H-3 inches, so it matches the footprint of other 1/50 construction vehicles.

How can I check that the articulated hitch and rear suspension move correctly after unboxing?

Gently pivot the front and rear sections at the hitch joint and press down on the rear chassis; both the articulated hitch and working rear suspension should move smoothly without binding.

Does the High Line metal box include the die-cut foam insert and outer cardboard sleeve, or must I buy them separately?

The collectible full-color metal box comes with the die-cut foam insert already fitted, and the cardboard outer box is supplied for extra protection; nothing extra needs to be purchased.
