Kitchen and workshop temperature gun
This handheld infrared thermometer measures surface temperatures from -50 to 600 °C without contact. It is built for cooking, barbecue and pizza-oven checks where a probe cannot reach the food. The laser pointer helps aim at the exact spot to be measured. The fixed emissivity of 0.95 suits most organic and painted surfaces.
Night-readable display and simple power
A backlit LCD shows readings to a resolution of 0.1 degree and switches between Celsius and Fahrenheit. Pulling the trigger activates scanning mode; releasing it locks the last value with a hold icon. The unit powers down automatically after about eight seconds of inactivity. Two AAA batteries supply power and are easy to replace.
Sustained scanning behaviour
During continuous use the display updates in real time while the trigger is held. The eight-second auto-off timer resets with each button press so the tool stays on through a long session. Shiny or polished metals will still give inaccurate results unless covered with tape or flat black paint. The fixed emissivity setting cannot be adjusted for low-emissivity materials.

Questions about this item
How do I install the batteries so the thermometer powers on correctly?
Insert two AAA batteries matching the polarity markings inside the compartment; the unit turns on automatically when you pull the trigger.
What will I need to replace or maintain after extended use?
Replace the two AAA batteries when the LCD dims or the auto-shutdown triggers sooner than the usual eight seconds.
At what temperature does the fixed emissivity setting start giving inaccurate readings on shiny metal?
The preset 0.95 emissivity works for most organic and painted surfaces up to 600 °C, but polished metals reflect infrared energy and will read low unless covered with tape or flat black paint.
