Digital Thermometer LR44 -58°F to 572°F Probe

Kitchen probe thermometer

The Digital Thermometer LR44 is a handheld probe designed for home cooks and BBQ enthusiasts who need fast temperature checks on meat, candy, oil or liquids. It runs on an included LR44 button cell and covers a range of -58°F to 572°F (-50°C to 300°C) with a stated accuracy of ±0.9°F.

Measurement range and speed

The single specification that decides suitability is the -58°F to 572°F span combined with a 3–5 second response time, accurate to ±0.9°F. This covers deep-fry oil, roasting poultry and sugar work, but it cannot measure temperatures above 572°F or sustain immersion in liquids beyond the probe length.

Installation and common issues

No assembly is required; insert the battery, press the power button and select °C or °F with the slash key. The 5-inch food-grade 304 stainless probe folds or hangs via the end hook. The auto-off triggers after 10 minutes of inactivity, and the HOLD, MAX and MIN functions cycle with short button presses. It is not waterproof, so the display housing must stay dry.
