Two-computer HDMI KVM switch

The DigitNow! 4K@60Hz 2-Port HDMI KVM Switch lets a single keyboard, mouse and monitor control two computers. Two USB cables and two HDMI cables are included for immediate setup. It suits home offices, test benches or any desk where two systems share one display and input set.

Practical limits of 4K@60Hz HDMI switching

The switch passes 4K resolution at 60 Hz through its single HDMI monitor port. Bandwidth above that rate is not supported, so higher refresh rates or deeper colour formats at 4K will not work. Only one monitor can be active at a time; dual-display configurations require a different device.

Replaces dual keyboard, mouse and monitor sets

This unit replaces the need for two separate keyboards, mice and monitors on the same desk. The jump is worth it when desk space is tight or when a single user regularly works across two computers. It does not help buyers who need simultaneous multi-monitor output or who must switch more than two systems.

Questions about this item

Should I pick a different version if I need to connect more than two computers?

This model only has two computer ports and one monitor port, so it cannot handle more than two systems.

Will the 4K@60Hz rating actually deliver that resolution on my monitor?

The switch supports 4K at 60 Hz pass-through, so your monitor will receive the full signal as long as the source and cable also support it.

Does the HDMI interface limit the refresh rate or colour depth at 4K?

The HDMI connection on this unit carries 4K at 60 Hz, which is the maximum resolution and refresh rate the switch is rated for.
