DirectTV RC66RX Universal RF Remote White

The DirectTV RC66RX is a universal remote control designed for DirectTV satellite receivers. It supports both infrared and radio-frequency operation for whole-house control. The remote is compatible with numerous receiver models including H20 through H25, HR20 through HR34, R15, R16, R22, and D10 through D12. It arrives new in a factory plastic bag with batteries and room stickers included.

RF Interface Practical Limits

Radio-frequency capability allows control from anywhere in the house when paired with an RF-compatible receiver, removing the need for line-of-sight aiming. Infrared mode remains available for direct control or non-RF devices. Memory protection secures programmed codes against loss during battery replacement. The remote can be programmed to operate up to three additional devices such as televisions, DVD players, or audio equipment.

Replaces Legacy DirectTV Remotes

This model replaces a wide range of older DirectTV remotes including RC-16, RC-23, RC-32, RC-64, RC-65, RC-66, RC66X, RC64R, RC65R, and RC65RX. The upgrade is worthwhile when an older remote lacks RF capability, has worn buttons, or cannot control the full complement of auxiliary devices. Buyers who need control for more than three extra devices or who use non-DirectTV receiver platforms will find this remote insufficient.
