A field-replaceable edge-card module and single-point ground allow quick installation on a hard-wired multi-base that can cover up to ten pairs.

Suited for Fire and Security Loops

Installers protecting fire-alarm NAC, SLC, PIV or IDC circuits, burglar-alarm NAC and IDC circuits, or 4-20 mA current loops will find the 20,000 A surge rating and 39 V clamping voltage appropriate. The 5 A continuous current limit and 2 Mbps maximum data rate make it unsuitable for high-speed Ethernet or power distribution circuits.

The protector clamps transients at 39 V while the maximum continuous operating voltage is 33 V. If the connected equipment cannot tolerate a 39 V let-through, a different suppressor must be chosen.
