Questions about this item

What does the 40 KA surge rating mean when the DTK-TSS4D is installed on a 120 V circuit?

The 40 KA rating shows the maximum surge current the unit can divert in a single event on a 120 V supply, so it handles large transients without sacrificing itself.

How does the NEMA 4 enclosure affect where the DTK-TSS4D can be mounted?

The NEMA 4 rating means the enclosure resists wind-driven rain, splashing water and hose-directed water, allowing outdoor or wash-down mounting.
