Right-angle DP 1.4 cable for tight ports

This 1.8 metre DisplayPort 1.4 cable uses a 90 degree angled male connector to reach ports that face down or sit close to a wall. The latch design locks the plug in place so the link stays secure during daily use. It suits any desktop, laptop or media player with a standard DP socket.

Gold-plated contacts and 28AWG copper conductors

Bare copper conductors combined with foil and braid shielding keep the signal clean over the full 1.8 metre length. Gold-plated contacts resist corrosion and maintain low contact resistance after repeated mating cycles. The construction is built to meet the VESA DisplayPort 1.4 compliance programme.

Supports 8K at 60 Hz and 4K at 144 Hz

The cable passes up to 7680×4320 resolution at 60 Hz and 4K at 144 Hz with 10 bit colour depth. G-Sync and FreeSync signalling pass through without alteration. It is backward compatible with DisplayPort 1.3, 1.2 and 1.1 devices, but cannot exceed the bandwidth limits of the 1.4 standard.

Questions about this item

Does the 90-degree DisplayPort 1.4 connector run hot or draw extra power during all-day 8K 60Hz use?

The cable is passive with 28AWG copper conductors and foil plus braid shielding, so it adds no active heat or power draw beyond the signal itself.

What must my monitor and graphics card already have for this 1.8 m angled cable to work?

Both devices need a standard DisplayPort 1.4 (or 1.3/1.2/1.1) port; the male-to-male cable plugs directly in with a latch for a secure fit.

Will this DP 1.4 cable still deliver 4K 144Hz and G-Sync/FreeSync if I keep an older DP 1.2 monitor in the chain?

Yes — the cable is backwards compatible with DisplayPort 1.3, 1.2 and 1.1, so it passes 4K 144Hz and adaptive-sync signals through legacy ports.
