Retro Pixel-Art Bluetooth Speaker

The Divoom Tivoo is a portable audio device shaped like a vintage television. Its 16 by 16 programmable LED panel contains 256 full-colour pixels that display custom art, animations and real-time information. A 75 dB signal-to-noise ratio and 360-degree spatial compensation produce room-filling sound from a 3.9 by 3 by 3.2 inch cabinet. The unit runs on Bluetooth and also accepts AUX input and TF or SD cards for playback without a phone.

Creative Users Seeking a Desk Companion

This speaker suits anyone who wants a compact music player that doubles as a pixel-art canvas, alarm clock, weather station and sleep-aid library with 24 built-in profiles. It also offers simple games, a voice memo recorder and a DJ mixer mode for casual fun. Buyers who need high-fidelity audio for critical listening, multi-room streaming or voice-assistant integration should look at a different class of product.

16 x 16 Self-Programmable LED Matrix

The defining specification is the 256-pixel RGB display that owners control through the companion app on Android or iOS. It turns the speaker into a personalised notification centre, a retro gaming screen or a decorative art piece. If a programmable pixel display is not required, a standard Bluetooth speaker will cover the same audio needs at a lower cost.

Questions about this item

What are the exact dimensions I need to allow for the retro TV-shaped speaker?

The unit measures 3.9 by 3 by 3.2 inches, so allow that footprint plus a little clearance for the rear Aux port and the TF/SD card slot.

How do I get pixel art onto the 16x16 LED display and what step is often missed?

Use the Divoom app on Android or iOS to create or choose animations, then send them over Bluetooth; the step many miss is confirming the transfer in the app before the speaker updates its 256 RGB LEDs.

What ongoing care does the 16x16 programmable LED screen need?

Wipe the screen gently with a dry microfibre cloth; the 256 RGB LEDs are sealed behind the panel, so no internal cleaning or bulb replacement is required.
