9-Inch Magnetic Spirit Level

The DOWELL 9-inch magnetic torpedo level is built for tradespeople and DIY users who need quick alignment checks on ferrous surfaces. Its compact frame fits in a toolbox or pocket for jobs around the home, workshop or site. The tool provides horizontal, vertical and 45-degree references in a single body.

Installation and common issues

Place the level against any iron or steel surface and the magnetic edge holds it hands-free. No batteries or calibration are required. Accuracy can be affected if the magnetic face or the workpiece has debris, paint buildup or deep scratches that prevent full contact. Dropping the tool may shift the acrylic vials.

Three-vial readability

The decisive feature is the trio of green acrylic vials — horizontal, vertical and 45-degree — each with a top-view window for clear reading from above. This layout lets you confirm level, plumb and mitre angles without repositioning the tool. Buyers who need digital readouts or laser projection should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the 9 Inch Magnetic Spirit Level is reading true after I mount it?

Check that the green acrylic vials show the bubble centred in the horizontal, vertical and 45-degree positions; the top-view windows let you confirm alignment from above without removing the tool.

What comes in the package and what must I supply myself?

The box contains one 9-inch magnetic torpedo level with an orange high-impact plastic body, aluminium alloy side frames and hanging holes; no batteries or mounting hardware are included because the tool is hand-powered and attaches magnetically to ferrous surfaces.

Which version of this level should I choose for general workshop use?

The single 9-inch model (type 030630) with three vials and a magnetic edge covers horizontal, vertical and 45-degree checks in one compact tool, making it the standard choice for most alignment tasks.
