Replacement battery for ThinkPad X121e, X130e.

This 6-cell lithium-ion unit is built as a direct replacement for a long list of Lenovo ThinkPad models including the X121e, X130e, X131e and X140e series. It matches the original 11.1V specification and delivers 4400 mAh capacity for extended mobile runtime. The pack is aimed at owners who need a new power source for these specific ultraportable and education-focused laptops.

Thermal behaviour and power characteristics

Lithium-ion chemistry keeps heat output low during typical office workloads and the pack runs silently with no moving parts. The built-in smart control chip manages charging current to reduce power draw while the battery tops up and regulates discharge to prolong usable runtime. Integrated protection circuits guard against short circuit, overheat and overload conditions during everyday use.

Build quality and connector fit

The black casing follows the original form factor so it seats securely in the battery bay without adapters or modifications. A precise connector layout ensures the battery locks into place and communicates correctly with the ThinkPad power management firmware. Buyers who need a higher-capacity pack or a battery for a different ThinkPad series will not be served by this model.

Questions about this item

How do I install the MPL10244P-17 battery in my ThinkPad X131e, and what step is often missed?

Power off the laptop, unplug the AC adapter, slide the release latch, remove the old pack, insert the new 6-cell unit until it clicks, then fully charge it before first use to calibrate the smart chip.

What maintenance or replacement will the 11.1V 4400mAh pack need later?

No routine upkeep is required; the lithium-ion cells gradually lose capacity, so replace the battery when run time no longer meets your needs.

What limit appears first during sustained use of this 49Wh replacement battery?

The pack’s built-in protection circuit will cut output if temperature, current or voltage exceeds safe thresholds, preventing overheating or overload.
