8" Midrange Driver

The DS18 PRO-GM 8.4 is an 8-inch midrange loudspeaker rated at 190W RMS and 580W max power with a 4-ohm impedance. It uses a 1.5-inch Kapton voice coil on a ferrite magnet assembly. The driver covers a frequency response of 90-10KHz at 93dB sensitivity. It targets car or truck audio systems needing dedicated midrange reproduction.

Sustained Output Capability

The 190W RMS rating indicates continuous power handling during extended listening sessions. The high-temperature Kapton voice coil resists thermal compression when driven hard. A 30-ounce ferrite magnet provides stable flux density for consistent output. The cloth surround and paper cone maintain mechanical linearity at high excursion levels.

Installation Requirements

Verify the mounting depth of 3.38-inch and cut-out diameter of 7.16-inch fit your door or panel. Confirm the amplifier can deliver clean power into a 4-ohm load. The 90Hz lower limit means a separate subwoofer is required for full-range bass. Buyers needing integrated tweeters or coaxial designs should consider other configurations.
