Professional Clarity and Strength

Duck HD Clear Packaging Tape delivers a 2.6 mil heavy-duty seal for moving, shipping and long-term storage. The biaxially-oriented polypropylene film stays crystal clear to the 3 inch core so labels remain readable and boxes look professional. Adhesive bond strengthens over time for a reliable hold on valuables. Meets postal regulations for standard shipping use.

Wide Temperature Resilience

Tape performs across a 14F to 140F range without losing adhesion in hot or cold conditions. Ultraviolet resistance prevents yellowing and extends shelf life during extended storage. The 54.6 yard roll on a 3 inch core reduces change-overs during high-volume packing sessions. Consistent unwind keeps packing lines moving smoothly.

Upgrade from Standard Tapes

Replaces thinner general-purpose tapes that split under heavy loads or degrade in temperature extremes. The stronger film and time-building adhesive suit shippers who need boxes to stay sealed through rough handling and seasonal storage. Not suited for users who only need light-duty sealing for occasional parcels or who prefer a handheld dispenser roll format.

Questions about this item

How do I apply the 3‑inch‑core tape without it telescoping on the roll?

Mount the roll on a 3‑inch‑core dispenser, pull the tape straight over the box flap, press firmly along the full length, then tear cleanly against the serrated blade; the step most people skip is pressing the entire seam so the adhesive bonds evenly.

Will the 2.6 mil BOPP backing or adhesive degrade and need replacement while boxes are in storage?

The adhesive bond strengthens over time and the UV‑resistant BOPP film resists yellowing, so the tape itself does not require replacement during normal storage periods.

At what temperature does the tape lose holding power during long‑haul shipping?

Rated for 14 °F to 140 °F; outside that range the adhesive may soften or become brittle, which is the first limit you hit under sustained extreme temperatures.
