Due North V3550570-M Ice Traction Device

The Due North V3550570-M is a heavy-duty traction aid designed for walking on ice and snow. It fits men's shoe sizes 7-1/2 to 10 and women's sizes 8-1/2 to 11. The unisex black device uses tungsten carbide studs for grip on slippery outdoor surfaces. It is sold as a single pair for personal use.

Pull-On Installation and Fit

The pull-on attachment style stretches over existing footwear with a rubber upper that covers the heel area. Installation requires no tools or straps, simply stretching the device over the shoe. Users with footwear outside the stated size range may find the fit too loose or too tight. Proper alignment of the studs under the heel is necessary for effective traction.

Traction Capacity and Limits

Tungsten carbide studs provide durable bite on hard-packed ice and snow during outdoor activities. The heel-coverage design focuses grip on the rear foot but leaves the forefoot without added traction. It is not intended for indoor use on hard floors where studs can slip or cause damage. Buyers needing full-sole coverage or studded forefoot grip should consider a different device style.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the tungsten carbide studs are gripping properly after I pull them on?

Walk on ice or packed snow; the studs should bite without sliding and the rubber heel coverage should stay seated on the boot heel.

What comes in the package and is anything else required?

One pair of pull-on traction aids with tungsten carbide studs; no extra parts or tools are needed for use.

Should I choose the medium size for a men's 9 or women's 9.5 shoe?

Yes — the medium fits men's 7.5 to 10 and women's 8.5 to 11, so both sizes fall in range.
