Industrial Moisture Control

DuPont Tyvek DES121 clay desiccants arrive in a 5-gallon pail containing 300 individual units. Each unit measures 3 by 4 by 1/4 inches and is designed to protect goods during shipping and storage. The bulk quantity suits operations that process high volumes of packaged product.

Passive Protection Performance

The desiccants operate without power, fans or moving parts, so they add no noise or heat to the environment. Clay composition absorbs moisture through physical adsorption rather than chemical reaction. Normal use simply requires placing the units inside sealed containers or packaging.

Ready-to-Deploy Packaging

The 5-gallon pail keeps the 300 units clean, dry and organised until they are needed. No additional software, tools or accessories are included or required. Workers can pull individual packets directly from the pail and insert them into boxes, crates or pallets.

Questions about this item

How do I install the DES121 clay desiccants in a 5-gallon pail, and what step is often missed?

Place the 3" x 4" x 1/4" packets evenly throughout the pail; the step often missed is distributing all 300 units so no area is left unprotected.

What maintenance or replacement will the DES121 clay desiccants need later?

Replace the clay packets once they reach saturation; timing depends on the humidity level inside the sealed container.

What limit appears first when the DES121 clay desiccants are used continuously?

The moisture-absorption capacity of the 300 packets is the first limit reached under sustained high-humidity conditions.
