Smart charger with eight AA cells

The Powerex C980 smart charger ships with eight Duracell DX1500 AA NiMH cells rated at 2500 mAh and 1.2 V. The charger runs on 100-240 V AC and uses a ninth-generation MH-NM7108 microprocessor to manage up to eight independent slots for AA or AAA batteries. Turbo mode delivers 2.0 A per AA slot for a 60-minute charge, while default mode uses 1.0 A for 120 minutes. A conditioning mode is also selectable.

Households and professionals needing ready-to-use

This kit suits anyone who wants pre-charged AA batteries that can be recharged up to 400 times without memory effect. It is not for users who require lithium-ion chemistry, higher voltage cells, or a charger limited to fewer than eight simultaneous slots. Buyers needing C, D or 9 V sizes should look at something else.

Check your devices and outlet type

Ensure your equipment accepts 1.2 V NiMH AA cells, as some devices expect 1.5 V alkaline output. Verify you have a standard mains socket compatible with the 100-240 V input; no adapter is included. Confirm you have space for the eight-slot charger and that you do not need integrated USB ports for direct device charging.
