Two-pack braided USB-A to USB-C cables

This two-pack supplies two 3 ft cables with USB-A plugs on one end and USB-C plugs on the other. They are intended for charging and syncing phones, tablets and laptops that accept a USB-C connection. The light green nylon braid adds colour coding for easy identification.

Anti-slip connectors and 10000-bend rating

Each connector features an anti-slip tread that eases insertion and removal, even with one hand. The aluminium housing and braided nylon jacket survive more than 10000 bending cycles, resisting tangles and daily wear. Male-to-male construction means both ends plug directly into host and device ports.

USB 2.0 limits charging to 15 W and data to 480 Mbps

The cables operate at USB 2.0 speeds, so data transfers peak at 480 Mbps rather than the higher rates of newer standards. Power delivery tops out at 5 V and 3 A for 15 W, which suits many phones and tablets but cannot drive larger laptops at full speed. A compatible fast-charge power adapter is required to reach the maximum current.

Questions about this item

What USB standard does the cable use, and what data speed does that limit it to?

The cable uses USB 2.0, which caps data transfer at 480 Mbps.

What physical clearance does the connector need to fit a phone in a case?

The ultra-compact connector is slim enough to fit most cases without removal.

How do you install it for fast charging, and what step is often missed?

Plug the USB-A end into a 5V/3A power adapter and the USB-C end into the phone; the step often missed is using a charger that actually delivers 3 A.
