16-Bay AA/AAA LCD Charger

This bundle pairs a 16-bay LCD charger with sixteen AA AccuPower NiMH batteries rated at 2900 mAh each. The charger accepts AA, AAA and 9 V NiMH or NiCd cells and powers from a 100-240 V AC adapter supplying 12 V at 2.0 A. It is suited for households or small offices that run many wireless devices.

Independent charging slots with 18 LCD indicators

Each of the 16 AA/AAA bays and the two 9 V slots is monitored separately, showing real-time status on its own LCD segment. The microprocessor applies a negative delta V cut-off, a safety timer, short-circuit protection and reverse-polarity protection, while also flagging defective cells so they are not charged further.

Users who need simultaneous charging for many AA

The bundle suits photographers, gamers or families with dozens of remotes, controllers and toys. It does not serve buyers who require lithium-ion or lithium-polymer charging, nor those who need faster than 500 mA per AA cell or 250 mA per AAA cell. Anyone wanting integrated USB output or car-adapter operation should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How many AA or AAA cells can the charger handle in one session?

The 16-bay unit charges 1 to 16 AA or AAA NiMH or NiCd cells at once, with each slot monitored by its own LCD indicator.

What stops the charger from over-charging the 2900 mAh AccuPower cells during a long cycle?

An intelligent microprocessor applies negative delta V cut-off and a safety timer, halting current automatically when each cell reaches full charge.

How much heat and fan noise should I expect if all 16 bays run continuously?

The charger draws 12 V at 2 A from its universal adapter and has no fan; only the LCDs and passive components generate warmth during operation.
