Thermals and Power in Normal Use

Lithium Phosphate chemistry delivers superior high-temperature and storage performance compared to other lithium types. The installed IC chip prevents over-charge and over-discharge to protect chemistry integrity. Maximum charging current is 1.5 Amp and maximum discharging current is 7 Amp.

Cycle Life and Safety

Longer than 1000 cycle life makes the pack suitable for repeated daily application use. The manufacturer states the battery lasts up to three years in service. LiFePO4 is noted as the highest safety of all lithium batteries. Energy density is 19.2 Wh.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 3.2V 6000 mAh LiFePO4 pack in my Gama Sonic solar light and what step do people miss?

Slide the pack into the fixture until the plug-in clip clicks into the socket; the step often missed is aligning the polarity markers on the clip before pushing, otherwise the IC protection chip blocks power.

What maintenance or replacement will the 3.2V 6000 mAh LiFePO4 pack need later?

The pack is rated for longer than 1000 charge cycles and the manufacturer notes the lithium phosphate chemistry lasts up to 3 years in solar-light duty; plan a replacement when run-time drops noticeably.

What limit appears first when the 3.2V 6000 mAh LiFePO4 pack runs under sustained load?

The built-in IC chip stops discharge at 7 A maximum, so sustained loads above that trip the protection first; continuous draw must stay at or below 7 A to avoid cut-off.
