Independent Charging and Cell Diagnostics

Each bay operates independently so you can charge one to eight AA or AAA cells in any mix. The LCD shows individual status, while the microprocessor applies negative delta-V cut-off, reverse-polarity protection, short-circuit protection and a safety timer. A discharge function refreshes cells before charging and flags defective ones.

NiMH Chemistry and Mains Voltage Limits

The included batteries deliver 1.2 V and are rated for up to 1000 recharge cycles with no memory effect. Charging current is fixed at 500 mA for AA and 250 mA for AAA, so typical AA cells need four to six hours and AAA cells three to five hours. The supplied adaptor accepts 100 to 240 V AC, but the charger cannot charge lithium-ion, lead-acid or other chemistries.
