The charger handles one to four batteries at once in independent slots. Each cell delivers 1.2 V and is rated for up to 1000 recharge cycles.

Charging limits and safety features

The charger accepts 120 V AC at 60 Hz and draws 9.7 W, supplying 12 V at 500 mA to the slots. AA cells between 2000 and 2900 mAh take four to five hours to reach full charge, while AAA cells from 700 to 1200 mAh need two to three hours. Negative delta V cut-off detection and a safety timer stop the charge automatically, then switch to a trickle current to maintain capacity. Short-circuit, reverse-polarity and overcharge protections are built in.

Build quality and daily use
