Eight-slot smart charger with 16 AAA NiMH cells

The Powerex MH-C801D charges up to eight AA or AAA cells at once and ships with sixteen AAA batteries rated at 900 mAh each. Nickel Metal Hydride chemistry delivers 1.2 Volt nominal voltage and up to 1000 recharge cycles with no memory effect. The package suits households and small offices that run many remotes, keyboards, mice or toys.

Check your devices and power source

Verify that every device you plan to power accepts standard AAA cells and operates reliably at 1.2 Volt. The charger requires an AC supply between 100 and 240 V at 50 or 60 Hz and draws up to 1200 mA from the wall. Ensure you have a compatible mains socket and enough free outlets for the external power brick.

Replaces disposable alkaline AAA batteries

Each rechargeable cell can be reused up to 1000 times, eliminating the need to buy hundreds of single-use alkalines over its service life. The jump is worth it for any gadget that drains alkaline AAA packs in weeks rather than months. Devices that demand higher voltage per cell or proprietary packs cannot use these batteries.
