SKU CH-GCB9-WYKB6

Distributes a single HDMI signal to eight screens at 4K 60 Hz with HDR over 18 Gbps bandwidth

  • Distributes one HDMI source to eight displays simultaneously
  • Delivers 4K at 60 Hz with full 4:4:4 chroma
  • Handles 18 Gbps bandwidth for uncompressed high-dynamic-range video
  • Complies with HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2 for protected content
  • Offers COPY and AUTO EDID modes for flexible setup

Signal Distribution

The DVDO 1x8 HDMI splitter takes one source and sends identical 4K HDR video to eight displays simultaneously. It handles 18Gbps bandwidth and HDMI 2.0b with HDCP 2.2 compliance for protected content. This unit suits conference rooms, digital signage, education spaces and hospitality venues that need reliable multi-screen distribution.

EDID Management

COPY and AUTO EDID modes let the installer choose how the source reads display capabilities. COPY replicates the EDID from a connected sink so the source matches a specific screen. AUTO negotiates a common format across all outputs to reduce handshake failures. Both settings are selected on the unit without extra software.

Pre-Installation Checks

Verify that your source device outputs HDMI 2.0b signals at 18Gbps and that all eight target displays accept 4K at 60Hz 4:4:4 with HDR. Confirm each cable run meets the bandwidth requirement for the full distance. Ensure the installation location provides adequate ventilation for the compact chassis.

Questions about this item

Does the EDID COPY/AUTO setting on the DVDO-SPLITTER-18 need periodic adjustment as displays age?

The EDID COPY/AUTO modes read the connected display once at power-up and hold that configuration; no scheduled re-calibration is required unless the display mix changes.

What bandwidth ceiling limits the DVDO-SPLITTER-18 during continuous 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 distribution?

The 18 Gbps HDMI 2.0b path is the hard ceiling; sustained 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 fits within it, so the splitter runs at full spec without throttling.

How much heat does the DVDO-SPLITTER-18 generate when driving eight 4K@60Hz outputs all day?

The compact, fanless chassis relies on passive convection; typical operation stays warm to the touch but within normal commercial-equipment temperature limits.
