Right-angle pneumatic finishing sander with 0.4 hp motor, 20 cfm air consumption at 90 psi, and 1.6 lb weight for comfortable extended use
The Dynabrade 58037 is a pneumatic random-orbital sander built for final-surface preparation. Its 0.4 hp gearless motor runs at 90 psi and draws 20 cfm through a 1/4 in NPT inlet. The right-angle palm grip fits tight contours on metal, composite or wood panels. Weighing 1.6 lb and measuring 5 3/8 in long, it suits operators who need low vibration and precise control.
Switch when an inline sander cannot reach inside corners, door shuts or ribbed profiles. The 1/8 in orbit diameter leaves a finer scratch pattern than aggressive material-removal tools, so the step is worth it only when finish quality matters more than stock removal rate. It does not collect dust, so shops without external extraction see no cleanup benefit over non-vacuum models.
Verify the compressor delivers 20 cfm at 90 psi continuously; pressure drops will stall the motor. Confirm the hose is at least 1/4 in ID and fitted with a 1/4 in NPT coupler. The pad accepts pressure-sensitive adhesive discs only — hook-and-loop or bolt-on abrasives will not mount. Front exhaust directs airflow toward the workpiece, so eye protection and a clean air line are required.

The sander uses a 1/4 in NPT air inlet and needs a minimum 1/4 in hose to deliver 20 cfm at 90 psi.
Press the pressure-sensitive adhesive disc onto the pad; the variable-speed trigger then controls the 1/8 in orbit without a separate on-off switch.
Drain the compressor tank daily, lubricate the air motor with pneumatic tool oil before each shift, and replace the PSA pad when the adhesive no longer holds discs.
